GrandPerspective: A Nifty Mac Application
Want to know what is taking up all that space on your hard drive? Check out GrandPerspective. GrandPerspective is a Mac OS X utility that creates a tree-map visualization of disk usage within a file system. For instance, here is my home directory on my laptop.

The large purple area in the lower right is a few MPEG movies (the largest being a copy of Night of the Living Dead). The multi-colored region to its left is browser and personal email cache. The nasty blue area in the lower left is a my work related email cache. Finally, the bulk of the upper left and center is iPhoto related images.
Pretty spiffy - eh?
